This show was recently in Detroit, but we didn’t make any effort to go see it. But we do not see much of anything while we are here at home. But on vacation… okay, so Kim heard good things about this show and it was playing at a nice hotel we got a good deal at. That being said, this was a very good show. In case you do not know, this show tells the story of Frankie Valli growing up and becoming a huge star. It is the story of Valli, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi, and Bob Gaudio – the original members of The Four Seasons. It was played at such a personal level, it felt like a such an intimate view into his life. It was very moving.

Add to that some great classic music and some fantastic singers, this was a terrific show. It was the total package for what I would enjoy with a traditional Broadway show. The story was good, the music was memorable, the actors were fun, and the singing was top notch. I am not sure what else I can say. This is a must see for anyone that enjoys Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio’s music. Here is the wikipedia for the Four Seasons songs and for Bob Gaudio’s amazing track record of hits that put him in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
