Netflix Synopsis: Days before his pregnant wife’s due date, Los Angeles architect Peter (Robert Downey Jr.) is about to fly home from Atlanta when a series of unfortunate incidents land him on the “no-fly” list, forcing him to hitch a ride across the country with slacker Ethan (Zach Galifianakis). As Peter desperately tries to get home, he must deal with Ethan’s laid-back attitude, numerous delays and several mishaps in this road trip comedy. Jamie Foxx co-stars.

What I have learned recently about good comedic movies is the chemistry balance. What I mean by this is that the characters have to be able to play off each other. Most standard comedy teams are two individuals, but to make a movie work, there has to be three. Every good movie I have seen recently had two good comedic characters and one straight-laced character. While the additional of Jamie Foxx to this movie was helpful, it turned out to be too little, too late. These are two funny actors, but the movie falls flat.
