Three Positive Strep Tests in 3 Weeks March 20, 2009

Well, Alec had a positive strep test again on Sunday. He was complaining of pain in his stomach, head, hands and legs. At age 4 3/4, it is hard to say the level and true magnitude of his discomfort. But we decided we would trust there was something really wrong with him and took him to the MinuteClinic on Sunday.
It turned out he still tested positive for Strep Throat. He never complained about problems with his throat, even to the RN who took his test. Apparently, it is very common in his kids his age to have symptoms so different from adults. So, he is back on the antibotics.
Strep Throat has been really been going around the adults at work. People have been sick with cold, flu and strep for the last two months. I am really wondering how long Alec was sick. Hopefully this time we will have taken care of it once and for all.
The weather turned cold this week again, but hopefully now that it is technically Spring, the weather will start to warm up and we can all stop getting sick.
